But not with much quilting! This sweet, cuddly, smells-so-good, little baby boy has invaded our home with so much love and happiness. He was born on August 29th and weighed 8 lbs 6 oz. His hair is slightly red. We have been enjoying his cuddles and I even love having him put in my arms in the middle of the night so Mommy can get a little sleep.
Ellie loves having him around too. She always wants to hold him and touches him so softly and gives him lots of tender kisses. The other day it started raining just before her Daddy got home from work. He ran in the door and grabbed her boots and umbrella so that they could go out and play in the rain. They stomped through puddles and had a great time.
I did get this Twister quilt finished. I love the boldness of red, black and white together. There is so much red in the quilt that I decided black and white squares around the border would be best. Binding is plain black and the backing is black with white polka dot flannel.
All ready for 1 of my neighbor high school graduates this year. It is hard to keep it folded up and stored until the end of the school year. Whew.....1 down......4 to go! Once I get the idea of what I want to make, the process goes quite quickly. I just try to match the quilt to the graduate and sometimes it takes a while to be inspired as to what color and design matches which graduate.
Happy Quilting! Lynda

Congrats on the newest baby. Making quilts for all your neighborhood graduates must make you one of the sweetest neighbors in the universe!
Congratulations on a brand new grandbaby, Lynda! So exciting to have them all right there at your house!
I agree with Carol G, we should all be blessed with sweet neighbors.
How fun to be enjoying the new grandchild! Love the photo of your darling granddaughter in the rain.
Your red, black and white quilt is amazing! Your neighbor is very lucky to be receiving it at the end of the school year. Is it in her school colors?
Congratulations to your new grand baby. He's gorgeous and I'm not surprised that you are all in love. So glad little Ellie isn't jealous.
I also love your Twister quilt. I must make one again too. They are so much fun.
The quilt is really nice, but nowhere near as sweet as that new little guy, congrats, Grammie! Ellie is just 'dorable out there in the rain gear, how special for her Daddy to take her out in the rain ~
:-}pokey
