Here is the quilt top I have been working on this month.  It uses Stonehenge fabrics.  I love, love, love this quilt.  I told Austin (a young man who lives across the street and will be graduating soon) he may have to arm wrestle me for this one!  Now to get it to the quilter tomorrow.
My daughter, Nicky, found this fun thing to do with Ellie.  You put a bar of Ivory soap in the microwave and zap it for a few minutes and it foams all up.  Then you tear up toilet paper and mix it in.  Ellie had so much fun squishing it in her fingers and molding it into shapes.
Blogger has changed again.  I don't do well with change.  I just get so I feel like I can post, find pictures, highlight, change color etc. and they change things on me.  I know it is supposed to be better each time they make a change but I was perfectly happy with the old way.  AArrggghhh!

Tulip Festival

There was a Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point this month and Nicky and Ellie came down and we went to it.  The gardens there are beautiful!  We saw hundreds of tulips, other flowers, bushes, trees, water falls, ponds and fountains.  Ellie especially loved feeding the fish.
There was a vine tunnel to walk through to get to the Secret Garden.
There was a fountain in the Secret Garden that was so inviting.  I got in trouble for sticking my hand in the water so of course Ellie wanted to put her hand in too.
We thought this flower merry go round was lots of fun.
Ellie wanted to push her stroller instead of ride.
So many beautiful plants and bushes.
.Here  Ellie and Grandpa stood so we could get a picture of the stairs of flowers.

She doesn't look too happy here.  I think she was tired of taking pictures.
More feeding the fish.
Since Grandma had her sunglasses on Ellie needed hers on too.
Mommy and Ellie.

We must have walked at least 6 miles.  The first part was slightly down hill but the 2nd half was straight up hill (at least it seemed like it!)
Ellie was happy to ride by the end of our excursion.
This was a fun day off.  I've also been doing some sewing.  I'll show that tomorrow.

Puttering away

My friend, Janine, finished some more quilts and I put the bindings on them this last week. This one is a Christmas quilt. The picture does not do it justice. It is really a pretty quilt.
Here are the 2 Halloween and 1 Christmas all ready for Janine to pick up.
I've also been working on my Buggy Barn Bunnies. The 6 sections ready to be trimmed and sewn together. Doesn't look much like a bunny!
Here all 9 bunnies are sewn together. I have to admit this isn't my favorite Buggy Barn quilt. It was not easy to put together. Some of my bunny heads seem to be dipping to the right and the bows don't come anywhere near meeting in the center. I still need to add french knot eyes and felt noses. I may not even put a border on it. Maybe if I walk away for a few days when I come back I'll feel more like working on it again.
Now I've got to get busy on a graduation quilt for the young man across the street. I'm thinking of making a Disappearing Nine Patch using warm Fall colors.
