I'm a bit embarrassed!

Yes, I am a bit embarrassed.  Two more tops that just needed borders!
I've mentioned my friend, Janine, before.  She buys fabric enough for
both of us to make a quilt.  Over a year ago she wanted to make a
Christmas Turning Twenty.
Soft flannels in red, green and tan.
Now that the borders are on, I'm happy.

Not even sure when I started this one.  I know I purchased the fabrics
for a 3D butterfly quilt.  Then I lost interest in that idea.
Saw a Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorial and
decided these fabrics were perfect for that.
Just needed borders AGAIN.
I used 4 different fabrics from the center of the quilt
for each border.
Another top completed!

Off to the next one.

Another top done

Patriotic Stars

The center of this quilt has been complete for quite some time.  Once again, the fabric came from my friend, Leslie.
I added a small red border
then
used up several more of the 4 patches.
It is about 56 inches square and will look nice on
the couch next July.

Such a great idea to finish just the top and count it done.

Now to dig through the pile and see what to work on next!

Purple Sensation

A couple of years ago my friend, Janine, gave me a bunch of squares of purple fabrics.  I do love purple!  Decided to make a bunch of HST's and put together this quilt top from them.

Originally I was going to border in bright yellow and the 2nd border would be purple and yellow.  Couldn't find any purple and yellow fabric that I wanted but found this wonderful purple and green fabric.  So changed to a tiny green border and added the outer border.

Would you believe..........I just noticed a big mistake!!!
Now, do I take it apart and fix it or just leave it?

Update:  Only took 10 minutes but offending HST is now turned 1/4 turn and sewn back in place.
Quilt is much happier now.

My goal over the next few weeks is to gather all the partially finished quilt tops and finish them.  I'm not going to worry about the backing or the quilting for now.  Just finish the top!!

Hopefully that will clean up my sewing room of some piles of unfinished items.  I have made myself a promise not to start any more..........not even one more.........quilt until I have cleaned out all the partially finished tops.

Let's see if I can do just that!
