And He Loves It!

I have joked with Austin for a few weeks now that he may have to arm wrestle me for this quilt.  When I gave it to him today I told him that instead of a pinch hitter I was calling in a pinch armer.  I had chosen the man across the street who is about 6 foot 8 inches tall and the arms the size of a tank!  I apologized that I hadn't found fabric to represent him (swimming, Lacrosse and music) like I had for his brother (black, white and red....drama; and his girly girl sister, pink flowers).  Funny thing ..... his bedroom has a blue wall and an orange wall.  I couldn't have planned it any better.  It seems that each quilt I have made for this family has been bigger than the last.  I told Josh, the youngest brother who graduates next year, that his may be huge! A Little of This A Little of That

I finished the quilt for my neighbor, Austin, who graduates this month..
I think it just may be my favorite ever.  (Of course I do say that about just about every quilt)!
I absolutely love the Stonehenge fabrics.

The blue really adds zing to the borders and the centers of the stars.
My SIL graduated with his Masters degree.  I told him to look educated.
Now the hard part begins......looking for a "real" job.

We spent the weekend in St. George.  The weather was perfect, not too hot yet.  My son, Eric, (in the white shirt) took his 2 sons, Nate and Taylor (on his left) and his daughter, Katie (in front) and my older daughter's son, Jordan (on Eric's right) ziplining.  They had a great time in the afternoon so had to go again that evening.
Here my granddaughter, Katie made a ducky cake for Ellie.  We went to St. George to watch a dance program that she was in.  Sorry no pictures of that, but Ellie thoroughly enjoyed all the dancing and costumes.

I really enjoy giving a quilt to the graduates in my neighborhood.  I have watched most of them grow up from toddlers and it is so fun to see them grow and mature and get ready to leave home for college.

Happy Quilting!                   Lynda
