Binding done.....check!

Just so you know I haven't been completely idle this summer I finally got the binding on this quilt. Lately black, white and red have just been so appealing to me. I love the way the red bounces off the quilt when paired with black and white. I used flannel on the back again. That is my favorite now so the quilt is nice and warm and cuddly. Of course, right now warm and cuddly aren't so necessary with the 95 degree weather we are having but I know in too short a time it will be cold and windy and snowy again and then "someone" will really enjoy the warmth of the flannel.

Summer is the busiest time at work for me. I work for an oral surgeon and it seems everyone wants their wisdom teeth out or jaw surgery during school breaks so we sometimes work very long hours. That does cut into my sewing time. I do have several projects in various degrees of progress waiting for me tho just calling for me to get back to them.

Happy Quilting! Lynda

The plain red sashing really makes the blocks pop; love it!
It's good to take a few sewing breaks now and then; it's even more fun to get back to it afterwards.
Enjoy your warm weather; here it's raining - again...

I haven't made a black and white quilt - yet. Your quilt makes me want to start collecting fabrics! Great job - sorry about that work thing cutting into your sewing time!

You work on the black/white blocks is certainly cute. I love the RED sashing and center square, and the pokeydot backing is spot on!
Sorry to hear when my fun time starts, your work time increases. At least it doesn't keep you from creativity, and I hope you find time this weekend ~

And don't you just hate it when life cuts into our quilting time??

Oh how I love this quilt in black, white and red. I must make one myself in those colours. Just stunning. I hope you find more sewing time and blogging time soon again. I've missed you ;).

That is a great quilt. You're so right about how the red jumps out and away from the black and white.

Yes this is a beautiful combination, really looks awesome. It would be better to work long hours during winter when it is cold and windy!
