This should keep your eyes moving!

I made a bunch of these blocks from a pattern in "More Nickel Quilts". After they were made I wasn' sure I really liked them But I took the stacks......... Trimmed off these......

Sewed the blocks together and ended up with this block. I decided I liked it after all!

I put them up on my design wall.....

Arranged again leaving space for sashing......

Then sewed them together......No sashing.....

I love all the patterns when they are sewn together. I see squares....I see stars.....

Now I think I may add a small border of green, or maybe red, or maybe blue.......

Happy Sewing! Lynda

I like them without sashing too! Thanks for showing both ways - they look great!

As I scrolled down your post, I was thinking that I liked them better without the sashing. Pleasantly surprised to see you decided to go that way instead.

Another stunning quilt! I very much like the white with the vibrant colours! And I too like it better without the sashing! How big is it?

That is great, Lynda! The white is just enough eye-resting for the beautiful brights you have going on. Another wonderful quilt from creative you! I do not think I could pick which I like better ~

Oh I love that quilt. Isn´t it amazing how things fall in place when quilting? I often dilike the stuff I make until I finally sew the blocks togetehr and wham...another decent project.
But yours is really great I love the colors. And it definetly looks better without the sashing :-)

I love it too; both your fabric combinations and the layout where the blocks create another pattern where they meet. It reminds me of a summer day on this dark and rainy morning with thunder and lightning. Thank you.-)

That looks fabulous. It was interesting seeing both layouts, but I prefer the one you chose as it shows the secondary patterns too.
