Just looked at the Hillbilly quiltalong that I've been following and noticed that my windmill is
half the size it should have been on the background fabric. Oh well....such is life. I still need to add the sashing strips and border but I really like the way it turned out. I'll be digging in my stash for matching fabric for that since I used a charm pack for the rest.
Always fun to quilt along with others and see the difference in everyone's project even tho the same instructions are used.
I got the binding on this quilt also. It was quilted by Dixie who picks up and drops off at the quilt store
Just Sew in Highland. She did a great job! I'll for sure take more to her to quilt. I used a blue plaid flannel on the back and the binding also. My husband asked who this one is for....all I could say, was "we'll see". I guess he doesn't realize I just like making quilts....they don't HAVE to be for someone right now.

Your quilt looks nice even if that stitching was a trial :)
It doesn't matter if your windmills are smaller - it's nice to be different, don't you agree? It's looking great and I can't wait to see it with the border and sashing on. Your finished quilt is lovely too and what a great service to have the quilt top picked up and then delivered all quilted, ready for the binding.
So your quilt will be different from the other´s :)
We like to quilt along, but after all that work, it's nice to have it be one of a kind. Your freshly quilted one is quite pretty, too! Yea, for another finish!
:-} pokey
Both of your quilts look gorgeous! I love pin wheels... they always look so cheerful. Don't tell anyone about the small windmill and no one will ever know! Except for your blog readers that is! ;)
It looks wonderful, Lynda! Oh, how to explain the urge to quilt to a non quilter.. Obsession? Fun? Craving? It makes us happy? Do fill me in if you find the answer, I would like to know.-)
All your quilts look so nice. I'll have to go check out the sew-along you're doing. I love the colors you chose.
Nie mogę się doczekać aż skończysz te wiatraczki. Są bardzo ładne. Pozdrawiam :)
