Both of these patriotic wall hangings were from exchanges. You can see that one is from 2001! You can also see that poor Uncle Sam hasn't even got a face! I do like wall hanging sized quilts for a couple of reasons....1) they are quick to make, and 2) I enjoy them draped across a chair or couch during its special season for everyone to see and "aahhh" over. I have been slowly working on the "Antitude" project but nothing worth showing.....since you probably wouldn't be able to see the progress yet. I finished a rag quilt for my son-in-law for Christmas also. 1 down...too-many-to-think-about to go! I love Christmas if I have ideas of what to give to people. I saw a pattern on Mrs Moen's blog (see my side bar to go to her blog) and I think a cute Santa Cat table runner would be fun to make for some of my children and friends.

I love those reds, whites and blues; they are our national colours too (red, white and blue flag). We use these colours for the 17th of May which is our national holiday. I made tablerunners for mom and mother in law in these colours; that reminds me - I always meant to make one for myself...
I too like wall hangings, thay are so easy to display. Norwegians use a lot of table runners, so there are a lot of quilted ones on show & tell at our guild meetings. They are the perfect size for some little interior changes a makes easy and great gifts. I'm looking forward to have nice things (safely) on our table again now that grandson is getting older.
